That was a whirlwind.

Was on OcUK at 2pm to get an RX9070XT. Failed miserably. Then managed to get an RX9070 Pulse added to the basket. The website fell over.

Then went to Ebuyer and tried to get a card there and it went out of stock at the last second. Tried Scan, the same.

Then eventually OcUK fixed itself and got an RX9070 Pulse order in. An hour ago, more stock dropped. Got to the end of the checkout with an RX9070XT Reaper. But was not sure if the one card per person rule would mean both orders would be cancelled, but also felt quilty of taking up two RRP cards if it worked so closed the window.

I might regret loosing 10% to 15% of extra performance, but at the same token don't need to buy a new PSU either so saved well over £100.

I'm still thinking of a 4070 Ti Super, faster and less wattage used vs. my 3080 Ti. But now there's no new supply it will have to be used. Or I'll hang on and see whether any more AMD cards are coming, XTX or a future 9080 or 9090 maybe, we can dream!

P.S. I'm still in the OcUK queue long after the 1 minute they stated, I will close it now though being unfair on real buyers.
and in the end I got a 504 time-out lol
If I was on an RTX3080TI I would't bother until you get 75% to 100% more performance. My RTX3060TI was running out of VRAM too.

I see I'm back to the days when I'm looking at charts and my GPU is somewhere missing off the bottom of the chart (6800 XT).

The funny thing is that I've not played a game below UHD / 4K in years, you'd think looking at the charts I was watching slideshows.

My other thinking for getting something else sooner was the 2nd hand price of the 3080 Ti.
It's fallen like a stone since I paid over the odds for it at the end of the COVID stock shortages.
